Hope = Inspiration

It's the wee hours of the morning and I'm sitting in front of the Picasso trying to create one of my own but inspiration like sleep doesn't come.
I look up at the darken skies and feel it's relation to the blackness that surrounds my heart.
Some look up at such a vision and see beauty and tranquility.
I on the other hand only see what is before me at this given moment: hopelessness.
Just then I encountered an eerie presence as out of the shadows a woman who appeared to be down on her own luck sat down next to me.

She said: Excuse me sir is everything  alright?
I lied and said yes everything is fine but what would make you come and ask me how I am doing?
It seems like you might be having some hard times of your own.
Are you homeless?
She then said no matter what anyone might be going through if you can be a light in someone's day then you should seize the opportunity.

I replied: Even if that person feels there is no hope for their situation?
She said: let me tell you something hope is born and reborn in every new life.
Without hope the world would have never seen the wonderful things that have come to be.
Without hope families would give up on other family members in need.
Even at the center of tragedy there is hope for a better day to come.
For one reason or another hope is what brought us here tonight.
With that being said and to answer your question yes I am homeless but I'm not soulless.

I come here to sit most nights because its quiet and the only sound I hear is from the water fountains. It's soothing
It generates hope which equals inspiration. That good feeling is what prompted me to approach you tonight. That and the fact that you are sitting in my favorite spot. She laughs.
We talked some more as the dark early morning hours gave way to light.
A new day had begun as our paths traveled in different  directions.
I learned something that was more profound than what I had attempted to seek that night.

She was right I was searching for some inspiration to write and I thought that by sitting at one of the most prestigious pieces of art I might find it. What I realized from her words of wisdom was I needed to find hope and by doing so I found my inspiration to write. She was hoping to sit at her place of peace and be inspired  to bring light into someone's day.
Somehow we managed to do both.
